Play a pivotal role in providing hands-on training and assessment to verify competency levels of field-based employees and relevant contractor staff related to the construction and maintenance of the gas distribution network, to support regulatory compliance and safe and effective operations. What you’ll do:
This role offers a unique opportunity to share your expertise, impart practical knowledge, and ensure our workforce is equipped with the skills they need to excel in their careers. You’ll be a key player in maintaining the highest standards of safety and proficiency in the field.
- Responsible for pre-course preparation and setup of materials, tooling, and equipment for field-based technical training.
- Delivers technical training to build identified competencies of ATCO Gas Australia field-based employees and relevant contractor staff related to the construction and maintenance of the gas distribution network to support regulatory compliance and safe and effective operations.
- Undertakes field-based assessments to verify competency levels of field-based employees and relevant contractor staff in line with the Australian Qualifications Framework, applicable procedures and safe work instructions.
- Liaises with Supervisors across business operations to ensure timely and accurate assessments of employees identified through the training schedule are completed in line with compliance requirements.
- Ensures workplace practices and expertise are implemented into technical training and assessment materials through the appropriate review processes.
- Assist in developing training and assessment tools as required for relevant courses.
- Participate in validation meetings to help ensure training and assessment materials comply with RTO standards and training packages.
Skills & Experience:
We understand that you may have some but not all of what’s listed below – and that is ok! We encourage you to apply if you feel that you have depth of experience in some of the below and we can develop your skills further through ‘on the job’ learning.
- A Certificate III or licensed in any of the following disciplines:
- Utilities
- Civil Construction
- Plumbing and Gas Fitting
- Technical knowledge and experience in gas distribution field operations or other relevant industries.
- Highly desirable TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) and can work in a team environment.
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
